Solicitor & Managing Partner
Experienced Managing Partner with a demonstrated history of working in the law practice industry in city law firms. He has been working in the industry for over 10 years in major city law firms and became a Solicitor in 2012. Skilled in Crime and Motoring Law, he is a duty Solicitor who has the Criminal Litigation Accredited standard. Vaqas is a strong legal professional who believes in integrity and hard work to obtain the best results possible for clients and professionals.
Vaqas has extensive experience in all criminal charges including serious crime and fraud. Vaqas’s case experience covers; fraud, assault, theft, burglary, armed robbery, drug conspiracies, kidnapping, murder/manslaughter and sexual offences.
Vaqas is skilled in complex and technical motoring offences from speeding through to drink driving and effectively prepared exceptional hardship and special reason arguments as well as successfully defending road traffic cases.
Vaqas represents clients at all levels and stages of the criminal proceedings and works tearlessly to get the result required. Vaqas is responsible for representing both legally aided and private clients nationwide, with the ability to manage expectations and yet provide an exceptionally high level of work.
Sam joined Rees Clayton Solicitors in 2017 and has many years of criminal law experience. She is a criminal consultant, having completed her GDPL and Legal Practice Course and has worked in the industry for the past 10 years at city law firms. She has specialised in crime and road traffic offences, representing clients nationwide.

Solicitor – Civil
Ali joined Rees Clayton Solicitors in 2017 and leads the Civil / Personal Injury department.
Following completion of his studies in 2009, Ali went onto work for city law firms in Manchester, Sheffield and London and qualified as a Solicitor in 2014. He has obtained a broad range of experience covering Civil law and Personal injury in both litigated and pre-litigated matters. Ali is regularly instructed on High vale cases due to his in-depth knowledge and client satisfaction. His aim is simple; obtain the best outcome for the client.
Solicitor – Civil
Sara is a Solicitor who joined the Rees Clayton’ Personal Injury Department in February 2018 and is currently employed as a Civil Litigator. She qualified as a Solicitor in 2016 and working in the profession for over 10 years.
Sara graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with an Honours Degree in Law and thereafter completed her Legal Practice Course at BPP University Law School in Manchester.
Following completion of her studies, Sara worked for a number of law firms where she gained valuable experience in the civil sector, including litigated and pre-litigated matters.
Sara is result driven and always demonstrates professionalism in all her dealings with clients whilst trying to achieve the best possible outcome for them.
Senior Immigration Caseworker
Anitha joined Rees Clayton Solicitors in July 2018 and has successfully qualified as a Level 2 senior caseworker under the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme (IAAS).
Prior to joining us Anitha had a successful career working in the higher education sector, Senior Immigration Caseworker at Lupins Solicitors and also as a legal researcher at Matrix Chambers.
Anitha has a burning desire to help others and has assisted many vulnerable clients. With her background in higher education, Anitha has worked with Colleges assisting with their Tier 4 sponsor licences and has acted for many individuals studying in the UK under Tier 4. Anitha also specialises in EEA applications and family migration including applications under Appendix FM of the immigration rules, Tier 4 and EEA applications. She has a great success rate and her client’s often leave great feedback.
Throughout her experience in the field of immigration, Anitha assisted clients both under legal aid and on a private basis under supervision.
Jamal joined Rees Clayton Solicitors in 2017. He has a broad range of experience from working for companies in the City to smaller niche practices. He has previously worked as Business Development at the Centre for Economics and Business Research (Cebr) and his work history includes working with the likes of Nabarro LLP and Norton Rose Fulbright LLP and other FTSE 100 companies.
He brings a breadth of legal experience having studied the Bar Professional Training Course at the University of Law and working in both Legal Practice and Chambers. Today he leads Business Development at Rees Clayton Solicitors.
