Short Term Work Visa Applications
A Short-Term Work Visa may be suitable for you if you want to come to the UK to work for no more than 1 to 2 years. Here at Rees Clayton Solicitors, we are available to help you determine which visa you should apply for and assist you in applying for your visa with the best chances of success.
UK Graduate Visa
UK Graduate Visas can provide you with the permission to remain in the UK for a minimum of 2 years after you successful complete your course of study in the UK. Graduate Visas give you permission to work, or search for employment in the UK for a maximum of 2 years after the completion of a course in the UK. Applicants that have completed their studies in the UK with a doctorate can extend their graduate Visas to up to 3 years.
This type of visa does not provide a route to UK Settlement, however there is the option to switch to a different type of visa such as the Skilled Worker Visa.
UK High Potential Individual Visa
From 30th May 2022 you will be able to apply for the High Potential Individual Visa. Recent graduates of top-ranking universities as specified by the Home Office Global Universities List may be eligible to apply for this type of UK Visa. Individuals that are granted a High Potential Individual Visa are permitted to stay in the UK for 2 to 3 years depending on their degree level. High Potential Individual Visas allow individuals to take up employment, take up-self employment or set up businesses without the need for sponsorship. You can not apply for this visa type if you have permission to stay on a Graduate Visa.
UK Youth Mobility Scheme Visa
A Youth Mobility Scheme Visa can be applied for bycitizens of participating countries who are between the ages of 18 and 30. With this visa, you are able to spend up to two years working and studying in the UK. This path does not allow for dependents and does not lead to Settlement; however, you may be able to change to a category of visa that does.
UK Charity Worker Visa
An individual with a Charity Worker Visa can perform unpaid charitable work for up to a year in the UK. You need to get a certificate of sponsorship from an authorised employer before you can apply for this type of Visa.
Creative Worker Visa
Actors, musicians, dancers, and other creative professionals like those on a film crew can qualify for the Creative Worker Visa. A creative worker allows individuals to enter the UK for a maximum of one year.
UK Religious Worker Visa
The Religious Worker Visa is for people who intend to do religious work, such as working in a religious order or doing non-pastoral work for a religious order, for no longer than two years to support the activities of a UK religious institution.
UK International Agreement Visa
The International Agreement Visa is intended for people who have contracts to perform services while they are in the UK that are governed by international law or treaties. This includes working for an international organisation or a foreign government, serving as a private housekeeper in a diplomatic residence, or living with a family member who is employed by a “recognised international organisation.” You can stay in the UK with this visa for up to two years, or the period specified by your certificate of sponsorship plus an extra 28 days.
UK Government Authorised Exchange Visa
Government Authorised Exchange Visas allow people to come to the UK for work experience, training, Overseas Government Language Programmes or for research through an approved government authorised exchange scheme. The Government Authorised Exchange Visa allows you to either stay in the UK for one to two years, or the period of time specified by your certificate of sponsorship, plus 14 days.
UK Seasonal Worker Visa
For workers who want to go to the UK for up to 6 months to perform seasonal horticulture work, there is the Seasonal Worker Visa. An authorised scheme operator must serve as the sponsor.
UK Graduate Trainee Visa
Workers that want to come to or stat in the UK to work for their employer in a UK branch can apply for a UK Graduate Trainee Visa. To apply for this visa the job that they are going to be working in must be eligible and part of a graduate training programme for a managerial or specialist role. This visa tyle allows you to stay in the UK for up to a year or the period of time specified on your certificate of sponsorship, plus 14 days.
UK Expansion Worker Visa
A Senior Manager or specialised employee may enter the UK on a UK Expansion Worker Visa to establish a branch of an overseas company that has not yet begun doing business in the UK. You may remain in the UK for a period of one year following the start date of the work listed on your sponsorship certificate, plus 14 days under this visa type.
UK Secondment Worker Visa
With the Secondment Worker visa, your employer can send you to the UK to do an eligible job for a different company. The UK organisation must be a high-value client of your employer. You may remain in the UK for a period of up to one year or the amount of time stated on your certificate of sponsorship, plus 14 days.
UK Service Supplier Visa
You must have a contract under which you will perform services for a UK-based business in order to qualify for a UK Service Supplier Visa. For example, you could be an employee for an overseas company, or a self-employed professional based abroad. The trade agreement you are offering services under determines how long you can stay in the UK. You will either be allowed to stay in the UK for between 6 to 12 months depending on your individual trade agreement or the time stated on your certificate of sponsorship, whichever is the shortest.
